Malcolm Steel

Malcolm is responsible for shaping the long-term client advice strategy for Mearns & Company.

Malcolm is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS). As well as providing financial advice and support to individual clients, Malcolm also works closely with our employee benefits team, helping to steer the support provided to our corporate clients. Having worked with Mearns & Company since 2007, Malcolm is a member of the Senior Management Team.

Malcolm’s journey to Mearns & Company (in his own words):

“Having spent several years working with a number of the UK’s largest investment, pension and insurance companies, I was keen to join Mearns & Company in January 2007. As a family business, perhaps this was inevitable, but the key attraction for me was the ability to provide advice to clients which could have a profound, positive impact. This continues to give me great satisfaction and is the most enjoyable aspect of the role, without question.”

Malcolm is motivated by the positive impact that good, well-considered financial advice delivers. Helping people to achieve their goals, such as early retirement or lifelong financial security, and peace of mind, is very rewarding for Malcolm.

Outside of work:

Malcolm loves distance running, live music, travel and time with his family and friends.
