Aurelija Buckute

Aurelija is a qualified Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS).

Since joining Mearns & Company in 2015, Aurelija has worked across all of our private client teams, giving her a broad and well-rounded understanding of how Mearns & Company supports clients at every stage of their financial journey.

Aurelija’s journey to Mearns & Company (in her own words):

“I studied Finance and Economics at the University of Strathclyde and joined Mearns & Company after graduating in 2015. I received a call with the offer twenty minutes after my interview! It was an easy decision to accept and I never looked back.

I joined the administration team, and had an opportunity to be its team leader, before transitioning to the Paraplanning role, and then joining the Planning Team in 2020.”

What drives Aurelija:
Aurelija enjoys helping clients achieve their goals. She finds providing support and peace of mind to her clients very rewarding. Aurelija believes that acting with integrity is one of the most important aspects of her work.

Career highlights:
In 2022, Aurelija was awarded the Insurance Society of Edinburgh’s President’s Quaich, in recognition of her Chartered Insurance Institute exams performance.

Outside of work:
Aurelija is an avid reader and keen on building her own library. She enjoys active travelling and tending to her garden.
